Submit Questions for 2nd Homeowners Meeting

The County of Maui's 2nd Office of Recovery will be hosting a Homeowners meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 for those affected by the August 2023 wildfire in Lahaina. In order for the Office of Recovery to appropriately address the needs of the community, homeowners are asked to submit their questions prior to the meeting. This will allow the Office of Recovery to better prepare content and material.

On behalf of the County of Maui Office of Recovery, Anthology Research, a professional market research firm in Hawai‘i, is conducting a brief survey to collect community input to help inform the creation of the Lāhainā Recovery Plan. Your input will make a difference and will help guide planning for a future, rebuilt Lahaina.

290 businesses provided invaluable insights to help the County and its community partners better understand the health of your business and current and future needs.

Lahaina's Strengths, Weaknesses and Opportunities

The public was asked to provide input on the following questions: What are Lahaina’s biggest strengths and weaknesses before and after the fire? How can we build back better? We received over 400 responses, and are now putting together a report based on the comments received. The report will be posted to Ola Lahaina once it has been completed.
